In a unique celebration of automotive affection, Giz, a devoted car enthusiast from Brisbane, held a whimsical ceremony to “marry” his beloved 1971 Ford Falcon XY, whom he lovingly refers to as “sweetheart.” The playful event took place on Valentine’s Day as a promotional stunt for radio station Triple M.

During the ceremony, instead of a traditional bridal march, Giz showcased his car’s prowess, with the Falcon rolling down the aisle while he proclaimed his vows. He jokingly promised to keep their spark alive, no matter the challenges, which included the occasional disagreement and the necessity of jump-starts.

Despite being married to Rachel for 30 years with two children, Giz emphasised that this was not an affair; his family fully embraces his affection for the car. Rachel has even expressed her willingness to share her husband—under the condition the Falcon stays in the shed.

Now, with two loves to consider on Valentine’s Day, Giz hinted at a honeymoon drive in his Falcon, illustrating the light-hearted bond he shares with both his wife and his cherished vehicle.
