One of the largest internet service providers in Australia, TPG Telecom, faced a significant outage that disrupted services for numerous homes and businesses overnight. The incident was triggered by a severe storm that struck Sydney, leading to a power failure at one of their data centres. This outage affected broadband customers across several brands, including TPG, Vodafone, iiNet, Internode, and Kogan.

In an official statement, TPG Telecom acknowledged the technical difficulties impeding connectivity for their business clients and affecting access to customer support. The company reassured customers that its technical teams were actively addressing the problem and working diligently to restore services promptly. They expressed their apologies for the inconvenience caused by the disruption, emphasising their commitment to resolving the issue as swiftly as possible.
