Oscar-nominated actor Liam Neeson has recently made a notable appearance in a Melbourne real estate ad while helping a friend sell his home. The 72-year-old actor, who is currently in Victoria filming a thriller, was enlisted by homeowner Dean Fay and his wife Sonia, long-time friends of Neeson’s family.
Neeson lent his iconic voice to a cheeky advertisement for their property on Gertrude Street in Mulgrave, priced at $1.3 million. The ad features a playful nod to Neeson’s famous film, Taken, where he humorously incorporates lines from the movie.
In the video, real estate agency BigginScott Glen Waverley’s Ming Xu pitches the property to Neeson, claiming it’s the "perfect home" for him. Neeson, in character, responds with memorable quotes that evoke his action-hero persona, leading to an amusing exchange that highlights the home’s features before he ominously states, "I told you I’d find you," when Xu hasn’t shared the address.
The collaboration is fitting, as Fay has previously worked as an assistant director on several projects starring Neeson, and his daughter has also contributed to some of his films, showcasing a close-knit connection within the film industry.
