Authorities reported that a Volkswagen was commandeered from a railway station in Cranbourne North and subsequently joyridden. The vehicle met its end after crashing into a pole at the junction of Springvale Road and the Monash Freeway in Mulgrave shortly before midnight. Following the incident, the perpetrators escaped in a white BMW. As of now, the suspects have not been apprehended.
