The maternity ward 2C of a local hospital has temporarily closed to facilitate the filming of Russell Crowe’s new mixed martial arts drama for Netflix, titled The Beast In Me. Healthscope, the hospital’s operator, attributed this closure to a decrease in birth rates, allowing them to merge maternity services into a different ward. They assured that patient care will not be affected by the filming, which will involve a film crew on site for just one day. The area has previously been utilised for filming purposes, and staff members have reportedly been tasked with preparing various props, including hospital gowns, IV fluids, and coffee for the shoot.
