Counter-terrorism officers have charged a 44-year-old man after a neighbour reported a swastika flag at his residence in Cashmere, north-west of Brisbane. Following the tip-off, police conducted a search of the property on Wednesday and allegedly found the flag displayed prominently. Body-cam footage captured officers discovering a book featuring Adolf Hitler on the cover. At the time of the search, the man was not present but surrendered to police the next day. He has since been charged with one count of publicly displaying a prohibited symbol and has been issued a notice to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court later this month.
