Police are on the lookout for a man who may assist in their investigation into a shooting incident on the Gold Coast, Queensland, yesterday, which is being treated as attempted murder. Emergency services received a call around midday regarding the incident on Tallebudgera Creek Road, where they found a 59-year-old man suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his head and shoulder.
Authorities believe the victim approached a man on his property, leading to the alleged intruder producing a firearm and shooting him before fleeing the scene on foot. Following the incident, police temporarily secured the area while they conducted their inquiries.
They are particularly keen to speak to a person described as Caucasian, in his 50s, with facial hair and unkempt hair. The man appears to have a slender face with yellowed teeth and was last seen wearing work shorts, a flannel shirt, a dark slouch hat, and tan work boots.
