A body has been discovered in the ongoing search for a man missing for nearly two weeks in northern New South Wales. Mark Angus, aged 67, was last seen in Nimbin, situated west of Byron Bay, at around 4pm on August 8. Concerned when they were unable to reach him, his family reported his disappearance to the authorities.
In response, search teams concentrated their efforts in the surrounding bushland of Stony Chute. On Tuesday, police announced that they had found a body during their search of a property in the Stony Chute area. Although formal identification is pending, it is presumed that the body belongs to Angus. Authorities will compile a report for the coroner regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
