Police responded to reports of a shooting at the Harold Park Hotel on Ross Street, Forest Lodge, at approximately 6.40 pm. Upon their arrival, officers discovered two men who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds; however, the assailants had fled the scene in a vehicle before the police could intervene.
Despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene, one of the men tragically succumbed to his injuries, while the other was transported to hospital in a serious condition. Witnesses in the area claimed to have heard between six and twelve gunshots during the incident.
In the aftermath, authorities established a crime scene as investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
