A group of children, including leukemia patient Louie, were invited to sample the diverse array of showbags at the upcoming Royal Adelaide Show. Two weeks prior to the event opening at Wayville, 50 kids from Norwood Primary School and Camp Quality, alongside competition winners, got the chance to preview a whopping 458 showbags.
Seven-year-old Louie expressed his excitement, remarking on the “lots of candy and cool toys” available. His mother, Holly Huggins, noted the significance of this joyful experience for him after enduring a challenging year.
This year’s selections feature new additions such as Adelaide United and Premier League themed bags available for $36. The ever-popular Paw Patrol bag returns at $32, while the Ultimate Value Cooler bag emerges as the priciest option at $130. For those looking for affordable choices, the Bertie Beetle blue bag stands at just $5, part of nearly a hundred options priced at $10 or less.
Royal Adelaide Show chief executive Will Rayner emphasised their commitment to offering value for money and being mindful of their responsibility to the community when pricing their showbags.
