Alfred Hitchcock, the iconic filmmaker, was born on August 13, 1899, in southern England. Over a career that lasted six decades, he helmed 50 films, many of which have become cinematic milestones, such as Rebecca, The Birds, Psycho, and Rear Window. Notably, despite his profound impact on the film industry and his numerous successes, Hitchcock never received an Academy Award for best director. In 1980, just four months before his passing, he was honoured with a knighthood.
