Two truck drivers faced a terrifying ordeal after their vehicles caught fire following a severe collision on Victoria’s Western Highway. The accident occurred at Dimboola, roughly 330 kilometres north-west of Melbourne, around 7:20 am today, leading to the closure of a section of the highway.
Dramatic footage from the scene captured one of the trucks overturned and engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke rising from the wreckage. Fortunately, both drivers managed to escape the incident, though one sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital, while the other driver emerged unscathed.
Authorities have issued warnings regarding significant traffic disruptions, as the highway has been closed between Dimboola-Rainbow Road and the Borung Highway. An investigation is currently underway to ascertain the exact cause of this harrowing crash.
