Exclusive: Security footage has captured a dramatic incident in Green Valley, Liverpool, where a Land Rover ceased moving and prompted a police chase shortly after midnight.
The sequence of events began as officers pursued the vehicle along Delvin Way, which led them through Ashcroft and eventually to Green Valley. During the chase, a police officer can be heard commanding, "Get on the ground, get on the ground now!" as chaos unfolded.
A 16-year-old girl was apprehended on Bernier Way, but the driver remains elusive, continuing to evade capture. Local resident Tom Tran reported hearing a loud crash followed by police shouting, a situation he described as “not normal”. He recounted witnessing two individuals exit the vehicle; one attempted to flee but was blocked by a police car, while the other ran in the opposite direction.
Tran expressed relief that the driver did not collide with nearby houses during the incident, which left many in the area startled. Following the initial pursuit, officers managed to detain the teenage passenger only minutes later. Another local resident, Fudhail Abdul, described the scene, noting the presence of multiple police officers, including one with a dog, during the arrest.
The Land Rover in question was reportedly stolen from George Street in Waterloo on July 31. The search for the driver is currently ongoing, and authorities have urged anyone with relevant information to step forward and assist police in their investigation.
