According to sources, Donilon stood to earn an additional $US4 million contingent on Biden’s reelection.
While his initial salary was mentioned in the book Original Sin, the potential extra payment linked to a second term had not previously been disclosed. Donilon’s testimony involved defending Biden’s capability to serve as president despite ongoing discussions surrounding the former president’s mental and physical health.
In his statement, which was shared with CNN, Donilon portrayed Biden as an engaged leader, capable of addressing crucial domestic and international challenges.
