Matt Wright, known for his appearances on reality shows like “Outback Wrangler” and “Wild Croc Territory,” has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice. This legal battle stems from a tragic helicopter crash in February 2022 that resulted in the death of his co-star, Chris “Willow” Wilson, while the pilot, Sebastian Robinson, sustained severe injuries.
On Monday, Wright appeared calm in the Supreme Court in Darwin, wearing a light blue shirt and blue jeans. As he entered his not guilty pleas for three counts related to the attempted perversion of justice, he shared a moment with his wife, kissing her during a court adjournment.
The upcoming trial is set to commence on Wednesday and is anticipated to span approximately four weeks, during which around 25 witnesses are expected to testify about the incident and its aftermath.
