Three men were captured on CCTV attempting to steal an ATM in a car park in Craigieburn, Melbourne. The botched robbery occurred around 7:30 am on July 13 at a licensed venue on Grand Boulevard.
The trio was driving a silver Toyota Hilux. One individual exited the vehicle and used a chain to smash a business window. Subsequently, he was joined by a second accomplice. Together, they secured the chain around the ATM to pull it outside with their ute.
Despite their efforts, all three men struggled to lift the heavy ATM into the Hilux, ultimately leaving it behind as they fled the scene.
Victoria Police have since released the CCTV footage in hopes of identifying the suspects involved in this failed heist. They are encouraging anyone with information to reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
