Speculation surrounding Max Verstappen’s future with Red Bull has intensified following the recent dismissal of team principal Christian Horner, yet the Dutch racing star insists that this change will not influence his long-term decisions. Horner’s departure after 20 years at the helm of Red Bull Racing has led to speculation that Verstappen might leave for Mercedes at the start of the next season.
Despite a downturn in performance, leading to questions about Red Bull’s competitiveness, Verstappen recently expressed his commitment to the team. He stated that Horner’s exit would not affect his plans, emphasising, “The only thing that matters is that we work on the car and make it as fast as we can.” Verstappen conveyed that he is satisfied with his current position, although he acknowledged that future decisions remain uncertain.
Reports have hinted at a clandestine meeting between Verstappen and Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, prompting further speculation about his future.
