Emergency services responded to an incident in Daisy Hill, Logan, approximately 25 kilometres from Brisbane, around 3pm on May 30. On arrival, they discovered a man and a woman in a semi-conscious state. The 18-year-old man was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he was placed in an induced coma for several days before passing away on June 4.

The woman, aged 40, was also placed in an induced coma, during which she remained unconscious until waking on June 1. Following the incident, police initiated a homicide investigation, and the woman was initially charged with attempted murder. This charge was later elevated to murder.

Authorities have confirmed that the woman and the victim were known to each other. The 40-year-old woman is scheduled to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.

Police have requested that anyone with relevant information contact them or reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
