Three armed men are currently being pursued by police following a violent home invasion in Edmondson Park, located in south-west Sydney. The incident occurred around 1:45 am, when the intruders broke into a residence on Ardennes Avenue and assaulted a 48-year-old man alongside a 12-year-old boy.
Upon arrival, law enforcement learned that the trespassers had threatened the victims before launching an attack. Additionally, there was another child, an 11-year-old boy, inside the home during the ordeal. The armed assailants made off with various items, including jewellery, before escaping in an unidentified vehicle.
The 48-year-old man sustained facial injuries and received medical attention from paramedics on the scene, while both boys emerged unharmed from the incident. The police are actively investigating the break-in and are appealing for any information related to the suspects. This brazen act has raised concerns within the local community for their safety, highlighting the need for vigilance around home security.
