In a distressing incident in Adelaide’s northern suburb of Andrews Farm, a father was reportedly struck by a vehicle driven by a person he knew. Eyewitness accounts describe the victim being hit at high speed, resulting in him being thrown into the air. Dashcam footage has emerged, showing the father walking down the typically tranquil Senna Avenue shortly before the collision occurred around 8.45 PM.
Immediately following the incident, a neighbour, Gordon McLean, rushed to assist the injured man, utilising his jumper to staunch the bleeding from a head wound. The 29-year-old victim was quickly transported to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where it was confirmed that he sustained only minor injuries.
According to police reports, the incident followed a verbal confrontation between the two men. The driver, operating a Holden sedan, remained at the scene until law enforcement arrived. He has since been charged with acts intended to endanger life and was granted police bail. Despite the severity of the situation, he retains his driving licence and is scheduled to appear in court next month.
