Lifelong friends Braden Christoffersen and James McErvale recently became internet sensations after a humorous incident at the Buninyong Hotel in Ballarat. The pair had just wrapped up a round of golf when they found themselves in a slight predicament: their table unexpectedly tipped over in the beer garden.

Recalling the moment, Christoffersen described it as resembling a slow-motion event, stating that once the table began to tilt, there was nothing they could do to stop it. In a spectacular show of reflexes, McErvale managed to catch his glass of Guinness mid-fall, successfully preventing its contents from spilling. He quipped, “I’ve saved the Guinness; the phone and wallet didn’t really matter.”

Video footage of the amusing mishap has since gained traction on social media, capturing the light-hearted nature of the event. Fortunately, the only casualties were a couple of bruised egos, as McErvale noted, “This is hilarious, who cares?”

Their encounter highlights the fun and camaraderie that can come with a day out, proving that sometimes the best memories are made in the most unexpected ways.
