Two individuals have been apprehended following a police pursuit on the Central Coast of New South Wales that concluded in a crash. The incident reportedly began when a sedan ignored police signals to pull over on Del Rio Drive in Copacabana around 7:40 AM. During the chase, the vehicle allegedly collided with a police car, resulting in only minor damage.
The police pursuit continued as the sedan travelled through Kincumber, Avoca, and Terrigal before ultimately crashing on Cabarita Street in Wamberal. At the crash site, officers detained a 27-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both of whom were transported to Gosford Police Station for processing.
A subsequent search of the sedan uncovered three firearms, which were seized for further investigation. Authorities are currently appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage pertaining to the event to reach out to Crime Stoppers.
