In June, two break-ins occurred at adjacent residences on Stonehaven Court in Toorak, Melbourne, resulting in significant theft. The incidents were reported to the police, who noted that they transpired around 6.30 pm on Friday, June 27.

The intruder first targeted one property, making off with a two-carat diamond engagement ring valued at $25,000. At the second location, the burglar accessed a safe containing approximately $50,000 worth of jewellery and stole four military medals, which were particularly sentimental as they belonged to the victim’s deceased mother.

Fortunately, the occupants of both homes were not present during the breaks. Local residents are encouraged to review their CCTV footage for any relevant activity, and anyone with information regarding the burglaries is urged to reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000. This crime highlights the importance of community vigilance in enhancing safety and aiding law enforcement efforts.
