A 35-year-old man suffered injuries after running onto William Street in Darlinghurst just as police officers were responding to an incident with their lights and sirens activated. The man collided with the police vehicle and was provided assistance by officers at the scene prior to the arrival of paramedics.
He was subsequently transported to St Vincent’s Hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition. The constable driving the police car, part of the Kings Cross Police Area Command, received treatment for shock at the scene.
