Eastern Creek, known as Sydney’s motorsport hub, is set to transform into a shopping destination with a significant retail outlet under construction. This new extension to the existing Eastern Creek Quarter shopping centre will feature over 100 stores, primarily focusing on athleisure apparel.
Prominent sports brands including Asics, Adidas, Puma, and Fila are expected to have a presence in the outlet, known for offering discounted prices on their merchandise. Felicity Armstrong from Frasers Property highlighted that retailers are committed to ensuring that 70% of their stock consists of discounted items or products specifically made for outlet sales, catering to customers’ desire for value while still enjoying quality brands.
In addition to major retailers, the development aims to foster local business growth. One notable example is Jonathan Israfil, founder of Kerbside Eatery, which has evolved from a food truck into a dine-in restaurant within the new shopping complex. He expressed his excitement about providing for the local community.
The new outlet will also provide opportunities for family-run businesses to establish themselves, creating a vibrant shopping environment. Scheduled to open in March next year, the centre will include 1,100 new parking spaces, making it accessible for visitors.
Armstrong envisions a family-friendly atmosphere where shoppers can enjoy a day out—combining outlet shopping with dining options, children’s activities, and even grocery shopping at Woolworths on the way home. Overall, this development promises to enhance the local community and provide a unique shopping experience.
