Two individuals have been formally charged following a violent incident at a residence in Mooloolaba, located on the Sunshine Coast, last night.
According to police reports, a 36-year-old man from Caboolture and a 30-year-old man from Springwood arrived at a home on Palm Drive shortly before 10pm and engaged in a fight with two occupants already present at the location. When law enforcement arrived shortly after, both combatants sustained significant injuries.
Emergency services transported the injured men to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for medical attention. Additionally, a 54-year-old man, who received brief treatment at Nambour Hospital for his injuries, has been charged with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear in court today.
Moreover, a 14-year-old boy has also been charged with similar offences, specifically two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, and he is set to face Queensland’s Children’s Court on July 2.
