This winter, families in Melbourne have an exciting new entertainment option as Sesame Street takes centre stage at Caulfield Racecourse. The production, titled “Elmo’s Circus Dream,” features beloved Sesame Street characters and blends circus performances with captivating acrobatics, all centred around Elmo’s desire to become a circus star.
Contortionist Olivia Barker remarked on the unique appeal of the show, highlighting its blend of childhood nostalgia with professional circus acts. The performance brings together talented artists from around the globe, including performers from Colombia, China, and Ethiopia, showcasing a variety of skills that will mesmerise audiences.
Aerialist Janelle expressed her gratitude for being part of such a remarkable project, stating that she never anticipated pursuing a career in performance, let alone being selected for such a dream role.
“Elmo’s Circus Dream” is scheduled to run from June 27 to August 3, with tickets priced affordably at $25 for children and $35 for adults. It promises to be a delightful experience for both kids and parents alike, combining the magic of circus arts with the joy of beloved childhood characters.
