A 62-year-old man sustained serious injuries during an incident at the intersection of Nicholson and Paisley Streets in Footscray last Sunday and was subsequently taken to hospital in critical condition. On the day of the incident, a 43-year-old man without a fixed address was apprehended and charged with intentionally causing serious injury. He has been remanded and is scheduled to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on October 20. Authorities have indicated that further charges may be pursued pending the results of a postmortem examination.
