Darcy Jenson, a 27-year-old Australian, was apprehended in Jakarta as he allegedly attempted to flee Indonesia. He is one of three Australians now in custody following a fatal shooting at a luxury villa in Bali, which resulted in one man’s death and another’s injury.

Jenson, a former student of St Patrick’s College in Strathfield where he excelled in Italian, launched his plumbing career by starting his own business in 2020. Just three weeks prior to his arrest, he was in Sydney, participating in an AFL match for the Parramatta Goannas, in which he scored two goals.

Zivan Radmanovic, 32, was killed during the shooting in the villa shortly after midnight on Saturday, while his companion, 34-year-old Sanar Ghanim, suffered both gunshot wounds and physical assault in the incident. Alongside Jenson, two other Australians have been charged with murder: 23-year-old Coskun Mevlut was arrested in Singapore, and 37-year-old Tupou Pasa Midolmore was captured abroad before being extradited back to Bali.

All three Australians face serious charges of premeditated murder, which in Indonesia carries a potential death penalty. While these developments unfold, Jenson’s family has chosen not to make any public statements regarding the situation.
