Indonesian authorities have reportedly identified the individuals responsible for the shooting death of 32-year-old Melbourne native, Zivan Radmanovic, in Bali over the weekend. The tragic incident occurred in a bathroom while Radmanovic’s wife sought refuge under the bedcovers in the adjacent bedroom.
Ghanim, a friend of Radmanovic, was also attacked during this incident. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and blunt-force trauma, particularly to his face and torso, before being transported to a new apartment after his release from hospital.
Authorities are awaiting consent from Radmanovic’s family to conduct an autopsy, as a preliminary examination indicated significant injuries. Both men had been residing in Bali for several months, enjoying a holiday lifestyle. Reports suggest the shooting is being treated as an organised hit, and police believe those involved are Australians known to law enforcement in Victoria.
Ghanim has ties to the criminal underworld, specifically through a child he shares with Danielle, the daughter of infamous gangster Roberta Williams. This connection adds a layer of complexity to the investigation, which is believed to involve significant criminals operating from Australia.
As investigations continue, there are indications that the suspects may have fled Bali, although still remaining within Indonesia. If apprehended on Indonesian territory, they could face the death penalty, a serious consequence under local law. Currently, the Australian Federal Police (AFP) have stated they are not involved in the ongoing manhunt for the suspects.
The shocking incident has left the community in disbelief, as a peaceful holiday destination has been marred by violent crime. Authorities are prioritising the investigation as they seek to bring those responsible to justice and restore safety to the area.
