Homicide detectives have launched an investigation following the discovery of a body in bushland in western Sydney on Sunday.
Authorities were alerted shortly after 1pm and responded to a park located on Irwin Street in Werrington, approximately 50 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. Upon arrival, they found a body that has yet to be officially identified.
Investigators from the Nepean area, along with the NSW Homicide Squad, are actively working on the case. In addition to conducting searches of the vicinity, police have deployed a helicopter to assist in the surrounding area’s investigation.
