Three teenagers have been charged following an incident involving a stolen vehicle that collided with several parked cars in Brisbane.
The events are reported to have taken place around 11:40 AM yesterday near Bowen Terrace and Moray Street in New Farm. Authorities allege that a silver Ford Fairlane, which was reported stolen, hit multiple parked vehicles before its occupants fled on foot.
An off-duty police officer apprehended two of the suspects—both teenage girls—on Barker Street shortly after the crash. The third suspect, a teenage boy, was found soon after on Bowman Lane.
Further investigation revealed that the Ford Fairlane had been stolen earlier that day from a property in Nudgee around 2:40 AM. A 17-year-old boy faces charges including unlawful use of a motor vehicle in company, dangerous driving, receiving tainted property, and breach of bail. A 14-year-old girl has been charged with two counts of stealing, unlawful use of a motor vehicle in company, and breach of bail as well. Both girls are set to appear in Brisbane Children’s Court on June 16.
Additionally, a 16-year-old girl has been issued a notice to appear in court on June 2.
