Bunnings Warehouse has initiated the installation of electric vehicle (EV) chargers in the car parks of select stores throughout Australia and New Zealand. This initiative aims to provide EV owners the convenience of charging their vehicles while shopping at Bunnings.

Currently, 14 stores across Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, and New Zealand feature a variety of charging stations, including 22kW, 50kW, and 120kW options, tailored to the specific site. Clear signage and user instructions are available to guide customers in using the chargers effectively.

In addition to the existing installations, Bunnings plans to add two more EV charging stations in the near future. Rod Caust, the director of stores at Bunnings Warehouse, emphasised that the rollout reflects the evolving needs of shoppers, particularly as electric vehicles gain popularity in the region.

As EV adoption increases, Bunnings’ initiative aligns with the broader transition towards sustainable transport. Customers looking to locate these charging stations can easily do so via their preferred EV charging apps, enabling a seamless shopping and charging experience.
