Emergency services responded to a tragic incident in Orbost, located east of Melbourne, shortly after midnight at approximately 12:20 am. Upon arrival at the intersection of Murphys Lane and Bonang-Orbost Road, they discovered a vehicle had collided with a tree. Unfortunately, the crash resulted in the deaths of an 18-year-old driver and a 15-year-old passenger at the scene. A third occupant sustained minor injuries and was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment. Authorities are currently investigating the details surrounding the accident.
