The Euky Bear Warm Steam Vaporiser, a popular device intended to enhance sleep quality, has been recalled due to potential burn hazards. The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) issued a safety alert, citing concerns that if the device is not turned off after use, the blue heating module can overheat, leading to disintegration and the release of smoke and fumes. This exposure poses a risk of burns to users if the heating module is touched.

The recall encompasses all batches of the vaporiser labelled with the model number EBSV2013. Customers who have purchased this specific model are urged to stop using it immediately, unplug the device, and dispose of it safely. Notably, consumers are advised against returning the product to the store from which it was bought.

For those affected, Felton Grimwade & Bosisto’s Pty Ltd, the pharmaceutical company behind the Euky Bear brand, is available for contact to facilitate replacements. Euky Bear, an Australian-owned company with a 40-year history, specialises in products designed for infants and young children, highlighting its commitment to safety and quality in its offerings.
