The contract situation surrounding Lachlan Galvin of the Wests Tigers appears to be reaching a resolution, as the talented teenager has been allowed to explore options with other clubs. The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Galvin can begin negotiations before the free agency period opens on November 1, though there are certain stipulations in place.

A significant factor in this development is the potential legal action Galvin may consider regarding allegations of bullying within the club. Additionally, a substantial transfer fee will need to be determined, which further complicates the process.

As the Tigers are one of seven teams enjoying a bye this weekend, there are hopes that a new deal for Galvin could be finalised shortly, possibly by the end of the following week. Despite denials from Bulldogs football manager Phil Gould, the Bulldogs, along with Parramatta, are two of the most likely candidates for Galvin’s next destination.

The situation remains fluid, and further updates are expected as the negotiations progress.
