In a terrifying incident in Epping, a Melbourne resident, Chris Middlemiss, recounted the harrowing experience of a home invasion. Three masked intruders armed with a wooden pole shattered their way into his home, a scene captured by security cameras.
Middlemiss described the invasion as audacious, noting that the intruders did not hesitate to confront him. Initially believing he could handle the situation, he quickly realised the seriousness of their intentions when one of the assailants brandished a firearm, aiming it directly at him while insisting, “shoot him.” Middlemiss was initially unaware of the threat, as he retreated to his backyard upon hearing glass break and discovering the intruders had entered his home.
After Middlemiss fled, the thieves made off with an electric bike, which was later discovered abandoned just a few houses away. The police are currently conducting an investigation, and Middlemiss suspects the attackers may have specifically targeted him. This incident has left him fearful of a potential return from the intruders.
