Last month, Leo, a stray kitten, endured a challenging existence, seeking warmth in the engine bay of a parked car. Unfortunately, this precarious hiding spot would soon lead to a terrifying experience. As the vehicle traversed Sydney’s West Connex tunnel at 80km/h, Leo was unexpectedly thrown onto the roadway.
In a heart-stopping moment, the tiny kitten found himself dodging the rapidly approaching tyres of oncoming vehicles. West Connex Operations manager, Jill Collins, remarked on the distressing sight, stating it was one of the most alarming situations she’d witnessed. Leo’s rapid descent from the engine bay allowed him to narrowly avoid various moving parts, showcasing a desperate struggle for survival.
Fortunately, the ordeal ended on a brighter note, as Leo is now resting comfortably in the arms of a new owner, far removed from the perils of the motorway. The remarkable events serve as a testament to the resilience of this little creature, who has now found a safe and loving home.
