63-Year-Old Woman Charged with Manslaughter Following Infant’s Death in Brisbane

Emergency services responded to a distress call on Ashridge Road in Darra on April 3, 2024, reporting that an 11-month-old infant was found unconscious and not breathing. Tragically, the baby was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following this incident, a police investigation named Operation Whiskey Nocturne was initiated. As a result of their inquiries, detectives have charged a 63-year-old woman from Darra with manslaughter. She is scheduled to appear in court at Richlands Magistrates Court on June 4.
