In a shocking incident captured on video, a 20-year-old man was violently assaulted in broad daylight in Rundle Mall, Adelaide, by three attackers as families looked on in disbelief. The attack, which involved kicking and punching the victim in the head, appears to have been unprovoked, prompting an investigation by local police.

The victim, identified as Dennis, expressed his belief that the assault was a hate crime aimed at him due to his association with the “furry” community, in which members often dress in costumes resembling animals. At the time of the attack, Dennis was performing in his costume with friends when the assault occurred. After being attacked, he managed to escape to a nearby hair salon for safety.

Authorities have confirmed that Dennis’s performance in the mall did not violate any laws, raising concerns about the motivations behind the attack. The police are actively working to gather more information related to the incident, which has left the community shocked and concerned for safety in public spaces.
