A 46-year-old aged care worker has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault against residents at a facility in south-west Sydney. The woman, who allegedly assaulted a total of seven elderly individuals—five men and two women—faces serious accusations, including four counts of aggravated sexual assault and numerous other charges related to non-consensual recording and distribution of intimate images.
The investigation commenced in March, leading to the discovery of videos showcasing the alleged sexual abuse, which were reportedly sent to her partner, a 54-year-old man who has also been arrested. His phone was seized during the investigation, uncovering additional material related to bestiality, which is unrelated to the aged care facility allegations.
Police have confirmed that both individuals are charged with possessing and disseminating bestiality-related material. The woman was arrested at Silverwater Correctional Complex and denied bail, with a court appearance scheduled at Campbelltown Local Court. Meanwhile, her partner, arrested at a home in Heckenberg, has been granted conditional bail and is set to appear in Liverpool Local Court in June.
Authorities have ensured that the families of the victims have been informed during the ongoing investigation.
