A man has tragically lost his life in a suspected stabbing incident in Melbourne’s inner city. Emergency services were summoned to a residence on Churchill Avenue in Ascot Vale around 4am, following notifications of an injured individual. Upon arrival, Victoria Police discovered a man with injuries that appeared to be consistent with a stabbing.
Despite the prompt response, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene and has yet to be officially identified. Authorities have taken a second man into custody at the location and are set to conduct interviews with him as part of their investigation. It is believed that both individuals were acquainted with each other.
