A crane operator has sustained injuries after his crane toppled over on a quiet street in Sydney. The incident took place around 4pm on Seeland Place in Padstow Heights, where the crane was engaged in a housing development project. Fortunately, the crane narrowly avoided hitting a nearby home and two parked cars.
Following the accident, emergency services were promptly notified and arrived at the scene. The operator found himself trapped in the crane’s cabin, approximately two metres above ground level. His colleagues on-site managed to assist him using a ladder, allowing him to safely exit the cabin.
He was subsequently transported to the hospital by his co-workers. Fortunately, reports indicate that he only suffered minor injuries from the incident.
