A 14-year-old boy has been charged in connection with an armed robbery in South Australia. The incident occurred at a service station on King Street in Port Lincoln around 12.30am when the boy reportedly threatened staff with a knife and demanded cash.
Following the robbery, which resulted in the suspect fleeing with a small amount of cash and some confectionery, police were alerted and arrived promptly. Although no injuries were reported among the staff, officers conducted a search of the area and found the teenager hiding on London Street, where they also discovered a knife concealed under a truck.
The boy, hailing from Port Lincoln, has been charged with robbery, and has been denied police bail. He is set to make a virtual appearance in the Adelaide Youth Court today.
